Throughout the autumn, we’ve been busy filming at some of Scotland’s most beautiful and iconic locations to showcase VISIT SCOTLAND’S “Homecoming 2014”
We were delighted to be asked by top Edinburgh events company Unique Events to create a stunning film for the launch at Hogmanay 2013, and beyond. We had weather watching down to a fine art by the end of the year – filming exteriors in Scotland in winter is not the most reliable. The results were stunning however with some of the best sunrises and sunsets we’ve seen in years …. Phew!
Homecoming 2014 filmed all over across Scotland and we were blessed with the most glorious winter weather and skies. Last filming day was 30th December on Calton Hill. The Torch Lit Procession is truly a sight to behold as 35,000 people make their way along Princes Street and onto Calton Hill. So exciting with 2014 fire sculptures and torches to welcome the New Year. Next morning it was straight to the edit suite to complete the film in time for Hogmanay. Our film played on the big screens at the Hogmanay celebrations all over Scotland, whilst the Pet Shop Boys did Edinburgh proud!
Huge thanks to everyone who worked on this production – it was a real team effort from all the crew, the cast, locations and editors, but especially our clients
