Petter J Tangmyr
Norwegian born Petter met Micky Macpherson during his final year at Edinburgh College of Art where he studied film
Following graduation Petter returned to Norway where he directed 3 short documentaries for Norwegian television. His talents as a Director were recognized and he very quickly entered the world of commercials.
Although still young he has already been nominated and won awards with his work.
In 2007 he won the prestigious Norwegian “Gold Pencil” with a film for Yellowpages (Agency: McCann). The same film also made the official shortlist at the CannesLions awards 2008.
At the same festival he was shortlisted in the CyberLions category with a viral for Krifa, a Norwegian Union workers organization (Agency: DDB)
His career has gone from strength to strength and Petter was shortlisted this year at The Young Director Awards 2008 with a film for the Nordic Light photofestival (Agency: Reaktor).
The combination of strong storytelling, quirky humour and originality added with his dedication and talent equals fresh and interesting work which Plum Films are delighted to offer to their clients.
