Simon Hynd
Simon is the Bafta Award winning writer and director of Tumshie McFadgen’s Bid for Ultimate Bliss, Meat the Campbells, and the feature thriller Senseless. Prior to Tumshie, Simon had established himself as an award winning stills photographer, and had written and directed other successful shorts.
Meat the Campbells, a grisly comedy for CBBC, was Scotland’s first film shot entirely green screen, with all the sets built digitally in post-production. Both Meat the Campbells and Tumshie seamlessly blend live action and animation to create exciting and stylish hyper real environments.
More recently Simon has directed two television series for the BBC.
Simon directs television and cinema commercials exclusively for Plum Films.
